IMTS2016: Technological Innovation and Industry 4.0

02 gen 2017
Abete attended the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago.
Keeping the pace with technology innovation is one of the most important commitment of Abete's mission. In fact innovation is the only way to stay on the top in a so complex sector as precision machining for the aeronautical industry. The participation, last September, at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS2016) in Chicago, goes in this direction.
The International Manufacturing Technology Show is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world, featuring 2.407 exhibiting companies and 115.612 registrants, from 117 countries. The event is held every two years at McCormick Place, Chicago.
The visitors who have attended the show, have had the chance to see more than 15.000 new machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, systems and processes that can improve their efficiency. Exhibitors showed their products and solutions in thematic pavilions, like Metal Cutting, Tooling & Workholding Systems, Laser, Controls & CAD –CAM.One of the most popular topic discussed during the show has been Industry 4.0, the vision for the future of connected manufacturing. Unlike Industry 3.0, which was focused on getting programmable logic controllers and other network technology into the manufacturing process, Industry 4.0 is focused on connecting these devices for truly data-driven performance. European Union forecasts that digitization of production may generate an annual income in Europe of 110 million euro for the next 5 years.
Abete, always in step with the latest trends in terms of Automation and Smart Manufacturing, couldn’t miss this innovative event!
